Default Bird Crap

I'm sure you've all dealt with this at one point or another.

A place I park on a fairly consistent basis features a tree that harbors several birds with vicious digestive tracts. Any suggestions for removing bird droppings from my car? I've got a bottle of meguire's quick polish in my trunk and a few 100% cotton clothes, and I've been trying to get to the stuff before its dry for too long, but sometimes I'm not able to get to it for 3-4 hours, and by that time the Meguire's isn't very effective. Even better would be a way to get rid of the birds from the tree, but the plastic owl I purchased just isn't cutting it.

Also, Ebb - are you the guy in AA with the Danish flag on your rear window?

Default I generally just soak it with water from a spray bottle...

...And wipe gently with a cotton applicator that I got with my Zaino stuff. I've gotten quite a bit of stuff on my paint, but never had any permanent damage using this method. Make sure you don't push down on the uhh...Mess when you wipe it off. Just kinda brush it off till the majority of it is gone, and then clean off the rest that you can't brush off.

I do that too. I carry a spray bottle for just such tasks!

Default I can't say that I've had that happen yet.

...But if it did, I would imagine that I would just break out the Zaino and do my best to make it look ok.

Default I always have a few of those "moist towelettes" in the glove box for that purpose...

You know the kind I mean, like they give you after you order the ribs. They work well if you get it before it bakes in the sun too long. Wipes it right up and evaporates completely.
