Immobilizer and Spare ECU?

I am considering a Garrett chip for my 2001 180 TTQC, but I would want a spare stock ECU that I could plug in before the car goes to the dealer for service. Am I to understand that if my car has the immobilizer I cannot do this without having a four digit code of some sort to allow the new stock ECU to work?

As I've been trying to bribe people at my dealersip for the code for two months now,...

I finally got the no way word. I guess there was a memo sent out that stated not to share the code. This memo threatens disenfranchising of dealers sharing the code without reasons like legitimate ECM replacement reasons. They are concerned that the anti theft strategies of the immobilizer set up will be compromised according to my service manager. I was told the same thing from three Audi service techs while waving $500 dollars in front of them. If you can find a soft spot to still get the code, then please e-mail me.
