Default Once you get past the OEM clamps, it's a breeze...

...several have recommended using a Dremel tool to cut those off. It shouldn't void your warranty or affect your lease, but just keep your OEM valve around if you're worried about that. Do a swap when you need to take it in for service or when you return it at the end of the lease.

Default Maybe about 45 minutes if you take a 15 minute break in the middle

If you look the job over and decide it's going to require a weekend of your time....better call a professional! Oh, and I mean that.

Default HIGHLY recommend using a Dremel w/ cut-off wheel for that *EVIL* OEM clamp - takes 30 seconds!

I know because I used a Dremel this last Saturday to remove the large OEM speed clamp from suiTTman's TTR for his Forge install. When I did mine last Sept it took me 25-30 minutes with pliers and tin snips. Argghhh!

But I don't recommend the Dremel for the small vacuum hose clamp... unless you have a real steady hand.

Default Big screwdriver under OEM clamp popped them off without a big fuss... dremel would work too, but...

I'd be careful either way about hose damage.

Screwdriver worked for me.

Default Works for the small clamp too!

(Nasty little thing ><)

Just lop off the "bulge" with the Dremel--hold the cutting edge parallel to the flat side of the clamp. The Dremel will cut off the bulge, and never even touch the hose. Then twist the clamp at the bulge, the edges will pop through the gap, and the clamp will come loose. Then cut through the clamp and it's history. Happy Forging!

complain to the dealer about the DV. When he changes it, you will have regular clamps to deal with
