OT: I just bought a Sun Monitor, and boy was I stupid........

It is a totally different monitor plug! It doesn't fit in any VGA slot.

The plug looks like this

0 :::::: 0 0

Someone told me that there is a adaptor for it? Anyone care to help me out?

Sorry to hear that mistake dude. A few details inside...

Old Sun Monitors are supported via XGA format. The format is/was used for high end graphics. So they say. Currently some new high end solaris systems still ship with this format. You can probably order an XGA to VGA (SVGA) converter from SUN directly. Or another solution would be to find somebody that orders sun monitors and tell them to give you the XGA to SVGA converter that ships with their monitors. I had a ton of these at my old company. Hey Jason I'll send you email if I can remember some of the url's where you can order this. Hope I didn't bore you with the technical babble. :-)

It's called a "13W3" cable, and there are VGA adapters for it...
