Default I've gotten many emails requesting info about my boost gauge location and install info. Here it is:

<center><img src="http://216.167.47.207/jenner/stuƒƒ/boostgauge.jpg"></center><p>Make:
VDO Vison Boost gauge

Displays:
-30 In.Hg. to 0 to +25 PSI
Black face, white numbers, orange/red needle, says "Turbo" on face. If it weren't for the orange in the needle it would be an exact match for the speedometer/tach etc.

Size:
2 1/16"
(larger won't fit inside gauge)

Cost:
$30.00 + tubing kit(~$10)
from www.egauges.com

Part No: 150-121

Install:
Pull out vent with finger tips.
Get rid of all fins in vent.
Take apart the flap that closes when you turn the bezel.(You can do this without breaking anything).
Line inside of vent with loop(soft side) of velcro.
Put hook side around gauge.
Vent is ready, except install it 90* from where it was and turn bezel back to up.(What I mean is there are holes in the top and bottom of the vent for the flap to swivel. By turning the gauge 90* you get the hole on the side so you can run the power wire and boost hose without having to cut/drill. But now in the "closed"(there is nothing to close anymore) position the **** on the bezel is at the 3pm postion. Just turn it back to 12 and no one will know!)
Now snake your boost hose thru the firewall at a factory spot to the upper left of the clutch. Unless you have a wire snake, you will have to take off the strut tower bar and a small black plastic box to pull the hose thru. Get a T fitting and tap off the Fuel Pressure Regulator on the fuel rail of the engine, or the diverter valve(aka bypass)[stock, forge, bailey, whatever].
Now hook up your ground wire to the factory grounding point below the steering wheel.(You will notice 3 or 4 brown wires here in a ring).
I want my gauge on all the time, so I tapped off the accessory power terminal.(The yellow one to the left of the 3 red ones down by the clutch). I'm not sure how to get it to come on with your lights(ask Jeff B maybe
Now you need to put the light bulb unit with hooked up wires up thru the lower dash and have it hang out the vent hole.
Do the same with the boost hose which should now have the brass hardware attached. Make sure to line the threads with teflon tape. Hang this out the vent hole also.
Now pull the wires/hose thru the hole from the flap in the vent, then out the face of the vent, and then hook them up to the gauge.
Now TEST the power and boost. It should read 0 with the engine off and like -20 with the engine on. Should jump up close to 0 when you give it gas and you won't see much over 0 until you drive.

If this works, put the gauge into the vent. Then seal the back of the vent/gauge with duct tape or something similar, leaving the wires/hose sticking out. Then stick the vent with gauge inside into the vent hole. It might take a couple test fits to make sure you don't crimp the hose.

Test again by turning the engine on.

I didn't buy a tubing kit from egauges because it is too small. I went to home depot and spent ~$10 for some brass fittings, and a hose(larger diameter than the one in the kit). You can also get braided black hose from Audi parts/service. $1.50 a ft. I believe. You can get the T fitting from Pep Boys or a similar store. The home depot ones are usually too big. It should have three ends all barbed. You might want to get some of the smallest metal screw down hose clamps to hold this on. To fit the T. You cut off a 1-2" piece of your boost hose. Stick the bottom of the T into one end of this piece. Stick that open end of the hose on the end of the Forge or Bailey valve or on the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Then put the boost hose and stock hose on the two remaining ends of the T. Clamp them all down. When you buy/order your boost hose. Get more than you think you will need. You can always cut it, and it is much easier to have too much than too little. Plus it is cheap.

Hope this helps everyone. As always feel free to email me with questions.<ul><li><a href="http://www.egauges.com">http://www.egauges.com</a</li></ul>
