Is that front plate holder put on at the dealership or...
at the dock. My car had that plate in the hatch when they picked it up at the port in Houston. I think it's hideous! My dealership told me that they only put the plate on if the customer wants it, which of course I didn't.

I was told it depends on the state the dealer is in. If your state requires front plates, then my dealer said it is often done at the port.
At my dealer here in MA (where front plates are usually required) some cars appear to come from the port with the front plate, and some appear to come without it.

That's what I figured...In Texas you are required to have one...
but most of my cop friends tell me that you won't get pulled over for it. If you're caught speeding or tagged for any other reason, they will add it to the ticket. At that point, tape it to the front, take a picture, take it to court, and show them you put it on. They drop the case, you drop the plate...done deal!
