I'll be putting them in shortly. They look pretty nice, and will look better than the two holes there currently. At least this will tide me over until the cupholder mod is out...

Default What cupholder mod? (more)

When I put my armrest in, I was hell-bent on not leaving the cupholders out of the car, since my girlfriend tends to use them a lot. I used one of the stratmosphere forge hole covers on the front hole, and mounted the cupholders side-ways in the rear hole. I think I saw someone else do that here in the past. All I did was put a wing-nut into the console tunnel, put the cupholder bolt into the hole, and wing-nutted it in and I was set to go. There's a little bolt in the middle part, which I can't remember what it connected to. In any event, I did not use the two bolts that went through the bottom of each cup holder though, since it's mounted sideways. Worked fine though. The only downside is you can't move the seats all the way back now, else you'll hit it. But they both move back far enough for the people who sit in 'em.

Default Re: What cupholder mod? (more)

My understanding from Pete is that the company that made the armrest is in the process of developing a cupholder that would work with the armrest. How it would fit and where I don't know, but Pete said it would be backwards compatable for all of us who already own the armrest.
