Important stuff for H&R *coil-over* people: LR adjuster snapped just b/4 swap for 225...
I'm the THIRD guy to get a broken adjuster that I know of with the attendant and sudden 2" collapse in suspension. Scary. Confirmed when H&Rs were removed from 180 as part of swap deal. Pics to follow.
H&R has got to fix this rear suspension problem once and for all. Spring replacement is not the fix for this! Damned if I'll mount the parts on my 225.
At present, I would go with *coil-over* fronts (perfect), sport springs and shocks in rear, and adjust the fronts to match rears until a viable solution is presented. Serious engineering problems exist for rear. Period.
This points out the difficulties of marketing aftermarket parts without thoroughly durability testing them, which is time consuming and very costly.
With all of the problems you folks have experienced with the rears on this system, you were the test fleet, IMO. Because this is a suspension bit, and potentially dangerous if it fails, the liability consequences are enormous for H&R.
My $.02
I also think this has to do with the design of the fully independent suspension and orientation of the rear shock on the TT as well since this is not a problem on other MKIV cars with coilovers - at least it's something i've never heard of after moderating the MKIV forum on Vortex since the beginning.

Something like a simple tube crossmember that ran along the underside of the floor/trunk pan and bolted through the trunk floor or welded on?
I've got pictures of crossmembers like that on mustangs if anyone is interested in seeing what i'm talking about.
I'm not extremely familiar with the underside of the TT's floorpan though, to see if there is room etc.
