Winshield vs. rock.......
You can guess the outcome. A nice big round chip, right at eyelevel on the drivers side - a crack is already starting to spread from the impact point. Gravel trucks suck!! I can't believe the anger and frustration that I'm feeling - I've had dozens of rock hits over the years, but never felt quite like this. Oh well, feels a little better 'sharing the pain'...anyone know of a good winshield repair place in west Denver?

Gravel Trucks are suppose to be covered. If not you could have stopped the truck or at least ...
get the number of the truck and call their road safety dept. and them to pay for it. Its at least worth a try. I had a truck have wood come off his truck and hit my glass. It was already cracked so I didn't feel the need to stop the truck. But I have heard people got $ from them.

I heard the same thing... in NC supposedly you have to follow and get them to sign something
Something like that. Even if the truck says they aren't responsible, they really are. If you don't follow and get them to sign something (or something like that) you can't come back later. Very annoying.

Thanks for all the kind words...
.... on a brighter note, Insurance (Progressive) is covering the cost of the repair and waving the deductable. Glass company has an epoxy system - it's gonna happen today if the weather holds - I'll post results.
