Diverter Valve - Audi has dropped the ball
Basically I was told Audi is not persuing replacing this part. I pointed out the tech bulliten too.
All I was after was a letter from Audi saying that putting in a Forge or Bailey valve will not void my warranty. They stated that could NOT happen.
To me this is shameful, we need to get on Audi and let them know this is rotten! Even if you have replaced yours already, please give them a call and let them know yours was a problem. I'm beginning to wonder if Audi thinks this is a non-issue because many people have just replaced it without informing Audi it was an issue.
Geeze, you pay for a new car, and it drives like crap unless you mess with it. And the manufacturer KNOWS there's a problem. That's just plain wrong.
...now where's that Forge info...

Latest Tech bulletin, but 180hp only?

I'm very happy with my Forge valves on my S4. My OEM valves were wasted. I think getting a piston-type valve is better than a diaphragm valve. I know someone who had a diaphragm Bailey that failed.
Given that the usual failure pattern doesn't seem to occur before 5-10K miles, an immediate failure seems odd, unless either (a) they didn't replace it at all, or (b) you ended up with a really-defective replacement, (c) DV is OK but they installed it incorrectly, or (d) your problem is due to something other than the DV (possible? or are you sure?).
Just considering possibilities...

When a DV is replaced and the problem pops up again within 10 miles of the dealership that's pretty lame. If AOA still insists that the superior aftermarket DVs are potential warranty busters, when faulty factory DVs can blow turbos or potentially stop a car in its tracks, then they need a major wake-up call.

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
If you really feel it drives like crap, either get an aftermarket valve and risk your warranty or sell the damn car and get something you enjoy driving...
But since most failures seem to occur after several thousand miles, I would claim that it's still early to say whether your "N" is any better than "O" and its friends. (After all, your previous DV was probably OK at 1000 miles too, right?)
Time (and miles) will tell, though, so keep us all posted!
