I pick up my 225 coupe on Saturday (this week has gone by SO SLOW)
I wasn't planning on any mods UNTIL I got to this site...you guys have infected my pristine stock mind!
Seriously though, I was (and still kinda am) nervous about screwing with a brand new $40K car. Out of sheer curiosity, how old are you guys/where are you from/what do you do?
Any advice on any topic at all once I have this baby in my posession? Thanks alot in advance! (You'll be getting a load of questions from me!)
(BTW, I'm in the NYC area)
My sugesstion would be to replace your DV...it will most likely fail...
You'll have a lot of fun here and more in the car, this is a great board with lots of useful tips and details.
I am a 30yrd old ex UK male, Telecomm Sales (Business Development) and loving it here in sunny California. Driving in England got so bad what with the fuel price (approx $4.50 a gallon!) and the police watching every move, so I moved here, to the land of "driving at the speed of traffic" and $1.50sh a gallon!!
Have fun!
I am from obviously Milwaukee Wisconsin, lived here all of my life but plan to move when I finish my degree.
Plus you'll appreciate those mods more if you drive 'naked' for a while. I'll never forgte the first time I stomped the pedal after swapping in my chip :]

- wait 6 months before you do anything, get to know the car during this time.
- pick a mod, whatever is important to you, and do it. wait another 6 months before doing anything else.
putting some time like this between mods will help you better understand what effect each mod is having on your car - if you were to go out and do an exhaust, chip, springs, and new DV all in the same weekend, you'd probably have no idea which one of these things had the most noticeable effect, etc.
Im sure others will disagree with me - and perhaps 6 months is too long between mods, but it does give you time to save cash for the next one.
Anyway I'm 29 as of tuesday this week.

I live in San Diego and design video games for a living.

pardon my ignorance RobbyTT, but what's a DV??
(BTW, I'm 26...I edit trailers and TV spots for feature films.)
