I suggest using whatever you use to clean the outside of your car, not a fan of wheel cleaners

I used AtoZ to clean my summer wheels before putting them back on Monday and they look like new.

I found Miguires Hot Stuff is great for no hands on cleaning and then use Rian-X wheel care.

Most impressive product I have seen (and used)...

is the ArmorAll wheel cleaner (grey/silver bottle in Europe). I used it on BBS wheels on my VR6 since they where impossible to clean! Just try it once, you will be amazed: spray it on a set of extremely dirty wheels, wait for 2 minutes and just hose it off. VOILA!
