These guys have been joking around with the "all your base" stuff for a while now...
They just pushed it to the limit this time. Worldcom handed out some posters a couple weeks ago and we papered someone else's cube with them.
The "all your base" victim was supposedly responsible for a network outage that brought down pretty much all AOL dial-in access for an hour or two on Tuesday. Because of this and a few other mishaps, upper management has forbid anyone to make non-emergency changes to the backbone network which effectively means we have nothing to so until next week some time.
