Default Any one have this problem . . .

My 225 looses alot of power, I can feel the car sag, when the tach hits about 5,900 RPM. Just started doing it a few days ago. Feels like I am losing boost. No check engine lights or any other signs of problems. Any ideas?

Went by dealer. Of course they could not even look at my car until April 25 . . .

Default Yep. I asked the "Audi Technician" and he did not even know what a DV was . . .

I conveyed to him that I heard there may have been a recall on the DV. His reponse was that he never heard of a DV and that I read a contrived bulletin. My car does have a noticeable vibration when the tach drops from 4,000 to about 3,000.

I know him fairly well as I have done business with this dealership for a few years and have had two Audis and a Porcshe. When the topic of a chip came up, he responded by stating that he knew the Hoppen tech from when he was with Audi and heard that there is some messy litigation in Florida as a result of chipping issues and destroyed motors. He said stay away. I took it with a grain of salt, but I wondwer if there is any truth to what he said.

I'm sure this has been hacked out endlessly, but I see you have both Forge & Bailey products. Why did you choose the Bailey DV over the Forge, and what is the source of these products. Also, it is an easy installation for the mechanically challenged, or is pro installation recommended? If there is a quick reference to save your typing, just send me there. thanks.

Default No recall on DV, and Audi calls it a "Charge Bypass Valve"

There is not now and has never been a recall on the DV. There is a TSB, but even there Audi states the dealer must find a malfunction before replacing it.

That said, I believe the turbo starts to trail off in terms of boost around 6K, so what you feel may be normal...

Personally, my 225 TT's never seen anything north of 5K RPM, so I couldn't really answer you...
