Default 2001 Audi TT Six Speed Neiman Marcus Coupe

Any reason that my car is in the Audi of America database as a 2001 Audi TT Six Speed Neiman Marcus Coupe? Is this simply a VIN code used for some portion of "special" cars? If so, what determines this and at what build stage is the chassis number joined with the VIN and joined with this designation?

As you see in the above posting, the VIN shows up in the computer that sends these "automatic reminders" as a Neiman Marcus car? Looking at the VIN, it seems clear that the build date and characteristics of the car do not warrant this designation in the database.

Any ideas on why the car would be registered like this?

Default LOl, Audi misspelled its own model. "Neiman" is the correct spelling. Cameron, same thing was

on my service letter. I don't have a Neiman Marcus edition.... Showed the service manager the letter, he had no clue either.

Default Where are the pictures of your YELLOW TT

I've been puting up with the same two people telling me that they see a yellow TT from here to Daytona since 12-99.Are there really any? I remember you telling the forum about your plans before your car since before your actual purchase.

Default There are only two yellow TT's in the U.S.

One is an Imola Yellow with black leather interior and in Detroit

One is a Fly Yellow with black cloth interior and in Chicago.

Mine is the latter.

Default Funny you said that. I recently got the roadside assistance cards from AoA and their..

letter began with somethine like "Dear Sir.... We hope you are enjoying your new 225TT...." I read and couldn't stop laughing. Then I started thinking that maybe I should go to the dealer and explain to him that I really wanted the 225 but he delivered the 180 to men and that the letter from AoA is my proof. :-)
