Default Has The DV Problem for the 225 TT's Been Solved

I am new to the Audi world, and I am trying to educate myself by scanning as much as possible through the archives. When I search on the DV issue, I find a lot of posts from around last summer. If I am to believe the tag on my door, my ride was manufactured on 1/01. Did Audi finally come up with a fix, or would my DV be the same as the ones with all of the problems. I traded in my Ford SVT Lightning in that I was tired of waiting for my next intercooler failure and the subsequent down time. I thought the grass would be greener in the Audi world, but apparently it is not. Thanks

Default The latest revision of the DV I believe is the "N" version.......

Although better then the previous, probably not
an all time cure. There have been a few "N"
failures reported here already. The best thing
is to probably get a Forge or Baily and forget
about it for a good long time. Not that expensive
and good piece of mind. Or you can
just wait to see if you ever have a problem. It
used to be a long wait for either of the
aftermarket versions, but now you can have one
in your hands overnight if you need one. You
make the call.....and good luck!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the answers. In that you both have forge, the obvious question is why you chose that over Bailey? Also, are they easy to install for the mechanically challenged? Thanks

forge just happened to come from Stratmosphere, and those guys provide excellent service....not to say that AWE don't but I had dealt with Pete in the past.
As for installation...it took me as long to open the drivers door and pop the hood as it did to remove and replace the valve...It is'nt a hardship for the less mechanically inclined...needle node vice grips work good at freeing up the one use clamp..the rest are worm drive clamps and on a new car should come off easy..

Interesting. I am amazed that with the alleged great German design engineers, they cannot come up with a DV as good as or better than those on the after market. Oh well, I thought I was escaping my problems by getting away from American muscle machinery. The frustrating saga continues, but with better looks.
