It's a good thing we're not showing our elitest attitudes or anything...

NASCAR has become the most popular spectator sport in the US whether you like it or not.
If you think it's easy, take one of the courses offered by the likes of Buck Baker or Richard Petty, and then tell us how easy it is to control a 3200# car on undersized tires and marginal brakes, in close traffic at speeds of 200 mph or so. I'm sure you can handle it, it's easy right, no skill at all required......

I agree totally. I'd love to see any of these guys go round one of those tracks at speed, with

another car 1 inch off their bumper and the wall a couple of inches from the side of the car. Not for everyone, I'll admit it, but the snobbery of dumping on NASCAR is getting old. The fact is, it's brought more interest to motorsports, and that's a good thing. I've been in one and our company was the second oldest sponsor of NASCAR before having to pull out last year. You can't find a better bunch of people in any sport.
