Anyone with fwd 5spd shift problems! , i solved mine!

On earlier post i told how Redline MTL improved all gears but i still had problems at times with 2nd and how i had taped a 1 half inch copy of clutch pedal on to increase the distance, after 2 days of stop and go i was so happy with the results i made one out of steel to accept the orginal pad and screwed it into place , only diff is that it adds 5 eights inch to travel and is even better. fell free to email me for details if you want to try.

This was the topic of discussion about a year ago and yes catmando's solution is valid.. maybe

not all clutch/tranny problems, but in some cases, yes.

no, but i always noticed that unless i had the seat in exactly the right spot i somestimes had 2nd gear problems if i shifted to fast, also everthing changed depending on which shoes i wore. This led me to believe that the clutch was so sensitive that unless it was pressed clear to floor grinding could occur. My change just helps to insure complete clutch release.
