Default Installed the Forge FMIC Saturday. Thanks Pete@Stratmophere!!

First of all, I want to thank Pete at Stratmophere for top notch service and getting this product to me.

The install took 5 hours to do and required no cutting or bending what so ever. A perfect fit. The 2 stock intercoolers are cheap and small compared to the Forge and Audi should or will do this to fit a larger engine in the TT.

Good lord, what a difference!!! Much more torque in all gears. Power shifting between gears when launching is smooth. The #1 complaint I had with the TT stock or chipped is that when hammering down off the line, there was always this lag between shifts that is eliminated now. What did you guys think after driving Petes TT at FW? Pete I understand what you mean by "scary fast". I was laughing out loud like a loon while driving this weekend. I haven't done that since I first picked up my car last July.

I have learned alot his weekend while installing this intercooler.
I really need to keep my digicam in the car.
You need a bucket when disconnecting the headlight washers. Water was everywhere.
You do not need to completely remove the wheel arch liners. Just the front and bend it back.
My Xenon transformers are connected to the headlamp assembly and not on the body.
The Audi first aid kit is great if you cut off a limb in the middle of nowhere but not good for small cuts on the fingers. (where are the band-aids in the damn thing) Wear gloves at all times.
Don't install around guys who have only wrenched on Hondas. It gets really annoying when you hear people saying how easy it is to remove a Civic bumper and that your doing it all wrong.
I am out of shape. My whole body is sore from wrenching. Don't get me wrong the install was easier than I thought it would be, but tedious as hell. I have a major respect for MichaelTT for removing his bumper and installing Dave's exhaust over and over again just for the hell of it. You are a real man or sick in the head.

Lastly, I know that some of you are saying "why did he remove the grill, looks ricey". I removed the grill because it is easier to pick the bugs off, I paid for it and I want to see it, I will be able to spot the difference between mine and other BB roadsters.

Thanks Pete, you have a winner here!

Default I think it looks ricey with the grill off but.....

I hope you know I am kidding when I say that

I also like being able to see that monster but I might think about have the bumper pulled off and have a body shop *finish* the area so that it didn't look like a piece was missing.

Good luck and I am super envious

Default Cool! I forgot to mention the washer fluid line...

to you. I did have some test drives but I probably shouldn't have ridden along so that folks would have beat the car more.

I had a 9-series late model Porsche play with me coming back from FW (not the twin-turbo). He was quite shocked when he couldn't zoom away from me.

We need some instrumented tests of this thing. I'm still thinking it's a good .3 to .4 off the 0-60 run. I'm shipping another unit today and I have all the production coming to me to fill my orders. -Pete

Forge TT Front Mount Intercooler

Is the torque band shorter/longer? How's operating temp? Very Exciting.

You mean like a replacement bumper cover just to let more air in through the front?

Default I was worried about the operating temperature also

I am running right at the middle, no worries. As far as the torque band it seems much longer but I have to shift much faster than before. It is very quick. I feel much more confident against any European roadster.
