5K service

greetings,

so i go in on wednesday for my 5K service. i have a few items on the list (fix a rattle here, address a slightly leaky window there)... is there anything i should know about this service? anything to ask about? i also get my snow tires taken off (as the 85 degree day yesterday made winter seem like a distant memory).

Yeah get them to put in synthetic.. up here dealer uses 15w40 mineral....a bit thick

If you want synthetic bring in your own oil...

My dealer charged me $45+ for 5 quarts of Mobil 1. You can get the same at a wholesale store or auto supply store for like $20.

Of course, I gave them 6 quarts but they only put in 4 (what happened to the other 2 quarts I'll never know

I supplied 6 qts Mobil 1 5W-30, got 1 back. No probs. (more)

And many thanks to all the folks on this forum for the enlightened recent discussions on proper type and weight synthetic for the TT. A very great help, guys (and gals). Saved me a load of guessing.

Them them your wipers squeek.

It you do, they will replace your wiper blades.
