Default Well, you wanted a west coast event...

I'm working on one, though on a much smaller scale than FW. A very tentative date is Sunday, June 3. This would be a SoCal TT Club run to Palm Springs.

We would meet in either Temecula, or at the western entrance of Hwy 74 aka Ortega Hwy, or both. From there, we'd head east over the mountains on some winding and scenic roads. Then, we'd enter the desert and end up in Palm Springs.

We'd take the Palm Springs aerial tramway, which has the 2nd steepest ascent in the world, to the top of Mt. San Jacinto, where we would do lunch and hang out for a bit.

I tried to put together a couple of similar runs in the recent past, but was foiled by weather. I don't think that will be a problem this time.

It is my intention to scout the run in the immediate future, perhaps as early as this weekend. I'll keep you updated via posts here, and via e-mail to SoCal TT Club members.
