If you have any way to lay your hands on a set of MKI front control arms...DO IT!
Differences between versions (pre and post recall) is especially pronounced when you go to Bilsteins or H&R/Bilsteins (engineered by H&R-built by Bilstein).
Dealers were required to send the parts they took out of the recalled TT back to Germany, but maybe you can find a dealer who has them.

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans

Hi Jeff,
I've looked into this and made a few enquiries, what I found out was:
If I try to order the "MK1" parts through Audi's computer system, I'm
politely told that I have to order the MK2 parts instead. The MK1 parts
are no longer order-able...only MK2 parts are available through Audi
main dealers.
So, if the Mk1 parts are being sold in Germany, it must be either:
a) from a non genuine parts source, or
b) maybe someone, somewhere bought all the stocks of Mk1 parts and is
now selling them..?? cannot believe this to be the case, but, hey you
never know!!!
c) a German tuning company is making either "performance" ones or has
copied the original ones..
The part numbers for the Mark 1 arms were:
8N0 407 151A for the left hand side
8N0 407 152A for the right hand side
Also according to my imformation, the "modified" anti-sway bar is 20mm
in diameter as opposed to the mk1 bar which was 19mm. This seems to be
the direct opposite of what was written in the forum post????
In the UK, we call these things "Track control arms - or wishbones".
These being sold in Germany is a new one on me??????
