Default I'm truly sad the weekend is over :(

However - I'd be down for something this weekend! Got any ideas? I have a list of Chicago people so I can email out if we can think of something

Let me think, but I agree about the weekend. It's going to be really nice weather.

Default Anybody have any ideas?

Should it be drving oriented? Meet for lunch, dinner? both? I would be down for any of the above.

A place that would be sweet for lunch would be one of those japense places that cook in front of you - Tsu Kasa of Tokyo in Vernon Hills, IL. I love that place and we could get a big table.

However, I've yet to find sweet roads for driving (like the ones I experienced this past week at FW) in IL. I'm not sure there exists a place where you can do 75mph in third gear twisting through smooth streets without fear of being ticketed. I've had driving dreams that past couple nights.

Default Not quite Chicago, but still Midwest...

Since we had so much fun at the dragstrip a few weeks ago, I was thinking it would be cool to go back. However, I personally wanted to go to one that's a little closer to where I am. A friend of mine in Michigan with an S4 tells me that he goes to a couple of strips around Grand Rapids every once in a while, so maybe the Ann Arbor folks could come down and it wouldn't be too awfully far for the Chicago people to come in.

Also, I've been invited to a few Z3 drives in the Indianapolis area every once in a while. I went on one and it was a load of fun. Next time I hear about one, I'll let the forum here know so maybe a few Chicago people can come down for it. The one I went on took us through Brown County and the route had a lot of twisties, dips, etc. There was only one other TT, so it would be nice to have a few more for the next one. I'll go ahead and email my contact and see when he thinks the next one might be if anyone is interested.

Default Great!

Rodney is in Grand Rapids so maybe he knows. For this weekend, I'm pretty much open for anything.
