PGTT (bribed) and me will organize the West Coast event
Have we determined a location?
Have we determined a date?
I would like to make it some where in the Utah/Arizona area or somewhere more central to everybody so the east Coasters can drive out as well (hopefully). please post your thoughts.

Suggestion to keep the FLW/TT theme: How about "Taliesin West" in Scottsdale AZ?

Also, it's best to have a well defined "destination" as it becomes the focal point from which...
...all else will eventually revolve. That was what drove the enitre FW event - the fact that we actually had a "purpose" to getting together made all the rest fall into place. No one would have come out to rural southwest PA for the driving alone, but the Fallingwater house was the primary focus and having nice local roads was the icing on the cake! Even I was surprised at how cool the roads were out there when I went last month on the exploratory mission.
I also suggest that someone willing to expend a lot of time and energy should drive this event. I estimate it took me well over 100 hours of planning on my part over 4 months to put the FW trip together. I was *absolutely* commited to making it work and the result was well worth it IMO.
And if someone can pull off a west coast event, I'd sure love to fly out and tag along for it - I wouldn't miss it for the world!
