It's now looking like the TTS is going t/b a TT skin streched over a A/S4 frame...

Remember the photos we were seeing a while back of streched TT? Dealer (owner) said he just saw the thing (in the flesh) being tested in Loveland. The idea is not turning me on.

I'm also hot on the Mini Cooper S (reason I was talking to owner) and he says BMW is intending to distribute thru 70 dealers (highest bidders) and want free standing operations with a maybe (just maybe) a lash-up with Rover distribution. He also said they have returned deposits to 5 customers. Real unhappy BMW dealer tis he.

Larry has some Mini pics from the show. I'm psyched because

in 6 years my son will be driving and used Mini's should be real good & cheap for a first time driver (and me!).

A friend of mine will have the #1 Mini Cooper S in the US!

He works for BMW Manhattan and is #2 on the list. His bud is #1, but only want a Mini Cooper.

I'm in OR. Point is, BMW dealers are NOT getting the car as of now.

PS. Looks like distribution for PacNW will be Seattle...none in Portland, initially.

US is only getting 20,000 units. Story is BMW is saying to Dealers: Submit a proposal...show us what you can do for us...forget past relationship...and, we want seperate facilities altogether.

Guess they are worried about crossover.
