TTQ/225 Chip Upgrade
Basically, there is a host of chips to choose from. MTM, APR, Garrett, GIAC, Abt. Coupe and Roadster take the same chip, however there are differences with regard to whether you have ESP or not.
Anyway, they are all pretty good and many here have an opinion about which is better. I happen to run MTM and a few others here do as well. I can highly recommend it.
The warranty thing is pretty much an unsettled issue. To a very large extent, I think there is a consensus that having a chip in your car when something bad happens will give your dealer a powerful argument for voiding at least part of your warranty. That said, however, you have to decide how likely you are going to have something bad happen.
Many here, including myself, have purchased a spare ECU and chipped that in order to keep the stock ECU in original condition. If your car has immobilizer, though, doing this is non-trivial as the new ECU must be matched to your car with a special code that can only be acquired from Audi.
