If the Frank Lloyd Wright theme is being considered for the West Coast gathering then...

The third national event definately needs to be held in Chicago, or more specifically, Oak Park. FLW had his studio in Oak Park and the town has the largest collection of FLW buildings in the world. Plus as an added bonus, Oak Park is also the birthplace of Ernest Hemingway!

Probably getting ahead of myself but just my thoughts.
