Default LLTek Group buy on their new Intake Setup . . . Details inside . . .

Neil from LLTek asked me to post this for him. For those of you that saw the intake that LLTek has come up with you know what it looks like. I am sorry but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Here is a picture of it from the LLTek website:

<img src="http://www.lltek.com/images/TT225aik_installed.jpg">

Let me see if I can describe it for everyone. The cone filter has a cap on the end to prevent air from coming in from anywhere else except the snorkle in the wheel well. Their is an aluminum plate to prevent engine heat from getting to the filter. They also include the small breather/blow by filter. The small white filter you see in the above and below pics.

The factory airbox cover fits over the top of the entire setup. You can then run a hose as Jason Chen did to direct even more cold air from the lower grill!

The regular cost of this kit is $333.00, but the group by cost will be $244.00. Neil is looking for 20 orders and I believe that he sold 4 or 5 kits at the Fallingwater Event.

LLTek has dyno'd the kit on BOTH a 180 and 225TT. On the 180 it produced an additional 17hp and on the 225 it produced 16 extra hp. He is going to get me the dyno slips so they can be posted.

If you are interested, please do the following:

Send an e-mail to:

<a href="mailto:neil@lltek.com">Neil@LLTek</a> include the following information:

Your Name:
Telephone Number with Area Code:
Model TT:
You E-mail:

Neil will handle the entire Group Buy for everyone. He is expecting the intakes to be in stock in about 10 days from what he told me on Sunday.

He is planning on offering even more group buys in the near future. I know they are going to include the various body kits, grills and wings and possibly even their exhausts. As he lets me know I will post them.

Default PES page says 3-5%, not HP.

Default If the dyno is correct, then combined with chip+exhaust on 225 means about 285sh! :):):):) (edited)

Would be sweet - assuming...

17hp for Intake
7-10hp for exhaust + filter
30hp for chip

Default Is this made for them by the designer of the Powerflo system? They may be the supplier...

Does the fins around the cone entrain any air? Or is it internally blocked? A heat shield would do nothing in an enclosed engine compartment. If it is the Powerflo design, then there was a scandal on their Porsche system with fudged dynos that was exposed in Excellence magazine. They had to redesign the system to filter only cold air to get the gains claimed. The redesigned product shunted out the engine compartment air completely and dynos confirmed the gains independently in a following issue of Excellence. Those were peak figures, though. If anyone cares.

Default Neil has about 280-285 coming out of his 225TTQ if that helps any. he is running an APR chip

and an LLTek exhaust. I don't know what else he has done to the car.

The 16 and 17hp numbers are for a stock car from what Neil told me.

Default From the looks of the kit in place, should be well under an hour to install

but I can't say for certain as I have not taken my airbox out and tried installing this in its place. All it looks like is some screws and maybe a few bolts here and there. I am sure it comes with very good instructions. All I know is all of the A4 guys that have installed in the LLTek intake love it.

I don't have any idea who fabricates this for LLTek, nor who designed it.
