Default ESP works on wet roads. I believe that you need to keep the gas on in order for it to work though

I think once you lift your foot off the gas then the computer would have to think that everything was ok.

My understanding of ESP is to maintain control of the car under power when it begins to lose traction at a wheel. If you are not depressing the gas anymore then all you are doing is steering the car. You are not putting anymore power to the ground for the computer to calculate how much to reduce power by.

Am I right everyone?

Default Don't forget ESP also controls braking...

Though I haven't verified this myself, my understanding is that if the ESP sensors detect the car starting to go sideways, the computer will not only modulate power but also apply brakes at one or more corners to help get the car straight again.

Default Yeah, the ESP brings the car to its knees!

I drove blueshirTT's 225TTR a few weeks ago and made a fast u-turn. The car practically died mid-turn! I slapped the button off as fast as I could and was able to power out of the turn! Geez do I HATE ESP!

In the rain I find it easy to dump it at 3500rpm and launch it with ESP off, bit of slip ok

Default Have you seen any other TT's in Turkey? Do you live close enough to a border to travel

to another country on drives to find other TT or Audi owners?

Default There are two more TTC's in the city. One 225TTC the other is a FWD...

I live in Antalya .It is a city at the south of Turkey by the Meditarrenian Sea.This is a relatively small and touristic city. But there are more TT's in Istanbul and in Ankara ( capitol ).Last couple of days I was in Ankara ( April 21-24 ! ) and I saw 4 other TT's. I know there are more.Usually younger folks prefer the TT's ! I am 42 with a young looking and young at heart. As to your question ,I am not close to an European border. It is almost 750 miles from here. This summer you may know that in Germany there will be a TT meeting. If I can have time I may plan to go.But I have no German so It may not be enjoyable only understanding ''Auctung Bitte.''
Larry , if you need anything from here ,info.,etc. call me ( mail me !) anytime. It will be my pleasure to contribute to a fellow BB TT'er.
