OT: Met one of my favorite baseball players today from my childhood ...

I grew up in the Bay Area and one of my favorite players was Jack Clark of the SF Giants. He actually had some solid yrs with the Giants, but ended going to the Cardinals as a free agent and also played for the Yanks and BoSox.

Anyways, our firm had a table today at the annual Dodgers luncheon, so I brought along a ball because Clark now serves as a batting coach for them. This guy use to live in the same town as me (when I was growing up), but I could never manage to get his autograph until today.

I met Tommy a couple of times, and I always tell him I'm a Giants fan - he usually ...

raises his eyebrows like - oh no not a freakin' Giants fan - but he routinely says that his worst memory as Dodgers manager was letting Niedenfeur pitch to Clark. Everytime he mentions that it looks like he's going to have heart attack.
