Default FAST TT

Want the fastest TT around?? A company in Canada can do it for a price of $37,000. I'm sure many of you have seen the GT6 made by HPA. For those who haven't seen the GT6, its a Volkswagen beetle with a 2.8L v-6 with 2 kkk's. 508 hp 0-60 in 4.2 seconds (Wow talk about a sleeper.) In addition to the engine comes the KW Variant 2 Coilover suspension, Porsche brakes, new exhaust, new clutch, and the haldex all wheel drive.

http://www.hpamotorsport.com/

This company is offering this same upgrade for 225TT's. Wouldn't this be great, the only draw back is the price tag 37,000. (wow) This would make the TT the car of my dreams. The class of the TT and the power of a ferrari 360.

Who wants to set up a group buy??hahah

Default I've had several conversations with them (more)

The price is around $33k for the TT (as we already have the AWD system. On top of this you'd be looking for about $3000 in shipping (to and from Canada (but no sales tax!). If I had the cash (NASDAQ or otherwise) i'd be up there in a flash. To have a true sleeper (ie stoptechs under OEM rims) and this amount of power would be so much fun.

They have several cars being done as a result of the magazine add (MotorTrend) and one is a TT Roadster!!! - expect another article with pics soon enough

Travis,
Thank you for your interest in our performance upgrades for your Audi TT. I have attached a quote for a 24v Twin Turbo engine upgrade, along with the appropriate brakes and suspension. I have only put pricing into the wheel section; the values are not shown in the total. The wheels listed are not mandatory, just a suggestion. Below I have included some information that may answer some of your future questions.
Interior/ Front fascia
· Once we begin working on a conversion such as this proposed one, we remove the interior components; bag them, along with the entire front fascia. These are all elevated up onto our storage racking to ensure that there is no possibility for accidental damage. To date we have had a 100% success rate.
Braking
· On the rear of the vehicle, the calipers from the VR6 4-motion are used in place of those from Porsche. On the beetle, we used the Porsche rear disk as we ran the true Porsche bolt pattern and unlike the front disks where you can un-bolt the center to change the bolt pattern, the rear disks are one complete cast unit. The clamping force generated by the true 4-motion rear calipers is identical to that of the Porsche rear brakes. We coat them in the same Porsche red coloring to match the factory look.
· The multi piston front calipers on the front allow us to maintain the identical brake bias from factory. The new front brake calipers are capable of generating an even pressure across the brake rotor allowing for incredible efficient heat disbursement. The caliper coupled with the thicker, larger cast rotors use your brake pedal travel in a more efficient manner. As the rear bias is influenced through suspension pitch and vehicle load, the floating bias calibrates itself through one of the most sophisticated traction control systems on the market today. This brake upgrade, front and back is a seamless integration of bigger and stronger components.
Engine
· The V6 motors available to us range in mileage from 220km(140mi) to 4500km(2800mi). Every three weeks, VW disassembles numerous vehicles. This translates into a great supply ratio through our contacts. With the amount of money and time we invest to obtain each unit and air ship them to us, we pick only those units that are equivalent to new. These engines will be relied upon to generate great power and build our reputation in an industry. Our assurance lies in the fact that we will not and cannot afford to purchase any motor that may not achieve these objectives.
· 6600 RPM is a standard redline for the 24V V6. There will be no speed limiter; we will set a rev limiter at 7800RPM. We have a secondary OE style Bosch fuel pump that runs in line to the factory unit.
Suspension
· The KW Variant II choice of suspension will facilitate your every handling need. The Variant II's are height adjustable as well as rebound hardness adjustable. We will make the initial settings to that of the factory vehicle or to your recommended liking.
Transmission
· We use a Sachs sport V6 4-motion clutch that was specially engineered for this power output range. It is included in the cost of the motor conversion.
Exhaust
· Our exhaust engineer in Europe has already developed a solution for this project. As the TT was our target market from the start, we had him develop the solution in advance. Our solution maintains the original outlets and is fairly close to the original sound output.

Exterior
· There is no mandatory graphic package. This is entirely the owner's discretion. We will install a small logo package under the TT symbol for photography purposes, this is fully removable.

· We usually suggest that the owner maintains the original wheels and tires for winter driving. This is one of the reasons that we maintain the factory bolt pattern.

Warrantee
· HPA's warranty is as follows. We guarantee all parts used in this conversion against defect for 1 year from date of pick-up. Our install workmanship is guaranteed for 6 months to be free from defect. Should an incident take place where there is a failure inside this time, we must be notified immediately. HPA must coordinate any and all work. In the most likely situation, a tech from HPA would be flown in and arrangements would be made to either complete or oversee any warranty repairs. The intention of this warranty is to give piece of mind that this vehicle has been built to last. As every component used originates from the factory VW/Audi line up, serviceability is achievable at every OE dealer. We have been able to rely on the build quality of the OE components and the warranties that are given to us by VW/Audi. As for workmanship, it is our goal to construct vehicles that will set the standard in workmanship that the industry will come to demand.
Transportation
· Transporting the vehicle to Blain WA will be our instruction. We meet the carriers at the border and bring the vehicles over the border in our enclosed transport. This allows us to incur the inconvenience and expense of arranging the temporary entry bonds into Canada.

I hope this gives you the information you were looking for and answers any questions you may have had. If you would like to see more pictures of the mentioned products, please refer to our website at www.hpamotorsport.com. If you have any further questions or would like to commence work on such a project, please feel free to call me toll free at 888-530-1433.

Sincerely
HPA Motorsports

Default misconceptions of the TT

With this upgrade in place it would add to the public's misconception of the TT.. Everyone already thinks that the TT has a v8 or v6.

I couldn't pass up the porsche wheels....
