Default Hey..I'm a ricer now!

Thought that I'd give my TT a break from all the commuting to the Silicon Valley and bought a used Integra from my neighbor's 16 year old ricer son. His son got busted for DUI and he decided to sell the car as punishment. I bought a 1998 Integra rice rocket for $5,180 (Kelly Blue Book lists it at $11,000)! Unfortunately, it has all the typical ricer mods: big spoiler, noisy muffler, fake Lexus IS300 rear lights, lowered with eibach springs, momo steering wheel, momo shifter **** and momo 17" M1 rims! His dad just doesn't know how much $$$$ his son spent on these mods. So, if you TTers see a ricer waving at you, it might be me, just remember that I own a TT and the Integra is just a daily commuter.

Default Wow......what a deal!!!! NICE this is what you should do tho'

Find another Integra guy with less mods and swap tail lights and any other things that you want to get rid of, and have him give you some cash. Then you could use that $$$ for the TT.

There must be the plethora of obligatory stickers on it, and of course it should not go fast either!

Sell the parts before somebody STEALS them! Ricey Honda parts are high-theft items.

You could steal your TT emblem and put it on the Integra...If the kid didn't do that already.

Default Which Integra Model Did You buy?

You got a great price on the Integra. When I bought my 180TTR, I decided to keep my 1994 Integra GSR as my daily driver. I don't have any mods other than replacing the stereo with an $1800 system. The Integra has been a wonderful car and is still a lot of fun to drive. There is a reason why it made Car and Driver's 10 best list a few years in a row. I have 175K miles on it, and I have never had any problems other than routine changeouts of the timing belt and clutch. My regular commute to work through rush hour traffic is not worth doing in a TT Roadster. I drive the TT Fri-Sun and enjoy driving it much more that way. Plus my goal is to never put the top up (other than washing it).

It is a big difference adjusting back and forth between the 8400RPM Integra and the turbo powered TT. I personally like reving it high to get the power vs waiting for the turbo to kick in, but that's probably because I am used to driving the Integra for 7 years. I personally love the sound the Integra engine makes when the VTEC kicks in.

Who else has both and loves both for their distinctly different personalities.

You'll love the handling and high revs.
