Value of the TT 15 years from now? Will it bottom out? At what price?

Value of the TT 15 years from now? Will it bottom out? At what price?
Ego's post about the value of his 1987 non turbo 911 made me think about this. His car is almost 15 years old, and I am sure new sold for upwards of $70,000. And is now at $21-23,000.
Where will the TT bottom out and how long will it take? 10 years?
I am guessing a TT with ~50,000 miles in 10-15 years, in very good condition would be like this: 180 FWD $15-17,000, a 180 quattro $17-19,000, a 225C $20-21,000 and the 225R $21-$22,000.
I really don't know much about this. Obviously condition, options, the number made, and the mileage will dictate this. I have a feeling these cars will eventually be worth more to their owners than it would be to sell them.
Please share your thoughts on this with me...

I think you prices are a bit high. Maybe 225 coupe and rdstr will
be in the high teen's top and so on down. We just don't have the preceived exclusivity as Porsche. We'll all just have to keep lurking around this damn forum, spending enough in aftermarket stuff to pay cash for a new 996, and keep the faith till

My buy out...
in about 2 yrs is $24,500. Meaning that in the following 7-12 yrs the car will only depreciate only anadditioan $3-4k, given that the car remains in good condition, production does not sky rocket, mileage stays low, and inflation rates does not change greatly I guess your #s could be accurate.
If that is true I have a pretty good buy out on my lease. But, on the other hand Audi Financial was not too aggressive on setting the residual values when I got my car. In other words my car should be worth more than $24k in 2 yrs.

Porsche price is too high..........>>
I believe new 87's were in the high 40's, low 50's range....Porsche's typically retain a pretty high % of original cost. 87-89's are fairly valuable as they had some major improvements and were the last of the "classic" body style.

I'd be surprised if it sold for that much new, I'm thinkin' $40-50k ??? In general, I don't think...
many manufacturers have enjoyed the residual Porsche has, especially with 911s - they enjoy a particular auto heritage. If the TT is still manufactured 10-15 yrs from now and real prices (adjusted for inflation) have risen considerably and a loyalist following exists (as I'm sure it will ;-)) then you might see prices as you suggest...
Otherwise it seems unlikely, the TT is a fairly large-production vehicle, for this segment, so supply constraints won't exist. Audi financial set my four-year residual at $23k for a $40k 225qc, I think that's probably fairly realistic, it's hard to say what'll happen 10 years hence, but I think that amount will probably decrease...
