Opinions: Aftermarket springs w/ factory shocks okay?
I would like to lower the TT just a bit and was wondering what the ride quality would be like with a set of modest sport springs(ie Neuspeed, Abt, etc) and the factory shocks. Anyone running a similar set-up?

I have Neuspeeds and I like what it did for the looks but
I will tell you that the ride does suffer from a little bit of porpoising (sp?) because the stock shocks just cannot keep up with the higher spring rates.
It will wear out the factory junk shocks alot sooner also, so replace the shocks now or later.

Prevailing Opinion seems to be to change both shox and springs - and
if you are doing both to go with a coilover - Bilstein PSS9 or H&R - sport or comfort. Theory is that shox and springs in coilover are better matched

My car has stock shocks in front and Bilstein's in back with Eibach's.>
It feels good. Definitely not to stiff. 10-15% stiffer than stock and designed to go with the stock springs per Eibach advertising. I just drove a stock '01 TTR 2 days ago and my car is set up stiff, but not to much. The handling is hands down better, but it could be the 18" rims or the whole set up as a package. It is really a Smorgasborg modification. There is only < 2,000 miles on the car. Anyone else running Eibachs?
