DV noise, OK to ignore? Help tonight please!
I have a 225 Roadster that I bought in Dec.2000 with about 4000 miles. My wife just picked me up at the airport and it is "singing" in the manner that I've seen described before as the DV failing.
She is planning on leaving on a trip to see her parents tomorrow AM and taking the TT. Is there a problem in ignoring this for her to take an 800 mile round trip?
I also think that the power has dropped a bit in the car over the last month but I'm not sure if this is real or not.

A failing DV should not pose any real problems other than the noise and power loss you...
...are experiencing. The only way a failing DV could damage your car is if a piece of the DV was sucked into the turbo. I've never heard of this happening with a stock DV. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. The majority of TT owners still have the stock DV and we've never heard of any damage being done. Enjoy the trip!
