Default Musings on damaged front grille....

Since the "gentleman" modified my front end for me on Saturday, I've come to notice that, to my eyes at least, the front end looks really striking without the chrome rings and quattro badge. All dark and sinister looking.

Several of you have fitted aftermarket grilles, one of which had no horizontal bars, just mesh similar to the lower grilles.

Can that "someone" post a picture and send me details, please?

Default Similar event happened on an old car of mine...

Woke up one Christmas morning to view my (then) Renault 5 GT Turbo, at first glance it looked a little angrier than normal.

On closer inspection, some would be thief had decided to open the hood so broke the middle grille bar to get at the catch. Pretty stupid as the hood hinged at the front of the car! I spent a couple of weeks with broken grille to the point that I missed the look when it was fixed!

Default In all honesty Chris

The fit isn't much good...and I would have prefered the mesh to match the size of the lower grille's..I have however sourced some aluminum mesh which is a perfect match to the lower grilles and I am going to look into fabricating a better fitting/looking grille and get it powder coated black as opposed to painted black. When i get this completed I shall post pics..

Default Lloyd, I took all the quattro/TT tags off. I love the change. I would also love to get a nose that

has no vertical lines in it. Ideally, a mesh like the lower holes in front of the intercoolers. I know Lltek does one that's very close. I would love to see it in person...
Take a look at www.lltek.com for pics of their riced TT with some nice bits on it.
