OT - Any of you geeks going to that tech expo at Javits center ?

It real quite at work, I might take a walk over this AM

Went yesterday afternoon.

As you know Jay I am in publishing. I went mostly to speak to the other publishers, CMP, IDG, and Ziff. But most of the exhibitors are geared towards handheld computers(Palms) and wireless applications.

If you have not registered yet, and just want to walk the show floor, go to the pre-registered attendees booths, and tell them you recieved an e-mail offering you a free pass, but never received it. Otherwise it is $75.

They are listed as exhibitors, but I did not see them there.

I just got an overview of it, from a co-worker that was there yesterday. He said it was the...

...lamest PC-Expo that he's ever been to, and that there was no reason for me to go. Guess that my annual trip to see the USS Intrepid isn't gonna happen this year. :-(

Sadly, I was reading a magazine article recently claiming that trade shows are dying off due to the DotCom slump and World Wide Web making product information available at everyone's fingertips.....
