Most Dangerous Intersections..from CNN article
The worst intersection -- Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard -- is in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The number of accidents at that intersection over the two-year period of the study was 357.
The second most dangerous is in the northeast section of Philadelphia at Red Lion Road and Roosevelt Boulevard. There were 331 accidents at that intersection. The third is a nearby intersection, Grant Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, where 261 accidents occurred.
Here are the others:
-- Phoenix, Arizona, 7th Street and Bell Road, 268 accidents.
-- Tulsa, Oklahoma, 51st Street and Memorial Drive, 304 accidents.
-- Tulsa, Oklahoma, 71st Street and Memorial Drive, 245 accidents.
-- Phoenix, Arizona, 19th Avenue and Northern Avenue, 255 accidents.
-- Frisco, Texas, State Highway 121 and Preston Road, 280 accidents.
-- Metairie, Louisiana, Clearview Parkway and Veterans Memorial Boulevard, 328 accidents.
-- Sacramento, California, Fair Oaks Boulevard and Howe Avenue, 246 accidents.

Holy Red Lights, Batman! That is the road I took to the dealership yesterday for service.
I am talking about the Philadelphia one. Route 1 south turns into Roosevelt ave for a while. Then you have to make a right onto Red Lion Road to head to Huntington Valley where the dealership is.
It is easy to see why so many accidents occur there though. Its essentially a twelve lane highway where each side is divided in half (one for local and one for express). But the funny thing is that each road gets stopped by a light and they allow turning to and from them. A very scarry and unfamiliar situation for any driver who isn't aware of the area.

I'm amazed at the number of accidents I see every single day here in Houston
Back in England I saw so few. Heck even in Egypt (twice as many cars in half as much space!) there were far fewer accidents. I think they should make the driving test a lot harder and raise the minimum driving age. When I got my lisence in California I thought the driving test was a joke (and I hear it's one of the harder ones in the US). The guy was too busy asking me about the car to see if I could drive or not. Actually I can't blame him my TT was just a week old at the time...<Putting on flame proof suit>...
