Default I've got the lltek....similar....>>

But uses a lid which I think is better. The car breathes noticeably better, spools faster, and seems more responsive. Ran it with my new (to be replaced) Forge Milltek exhaust and the throttle response and smoothness felt markedly improved.
Even under hot conditions, the car still feel better. No downsides I can see at this time.

Default I had one

felt some difference in throttle response, even when the weather was hot, but it's hard to justify just how much

the big downside was the noise, which is definately not for all tastes; the stock air box masks the whooshing noises, the Neuspeed doesn't, so you hear whooshing air usually when shifting
some claim to like the sound, I prefer a more refined rumble coming from the engine...

On a previous design I worked on for a Miata, the lid concept showed lower temps and shorter heatsoak recovery by diverting the intake to the "cool" air source.

Intake page

I like it.. The install was quick and easy. I have noticed a little increase in throttle response, but the major change was the increase in sound. The "blow-off" sound from the DV is much more audible now - this can be seen as a plus or minus, I happen to like the sound.

Default Any issues with CEL or MAF sensors?

I had a Eurosport Cool-Flo on my GTI which is the same idea, and had 3 blown air sensors. Pretty common problem with the MkIV VW crowd.
