Decided to call the body shop...to voice my displeasure...
Reminded him that his OWN GUY agreed that the car was NOT READY for delivery the first time around due to the chippy paint..broken cylinder..and spots...!! He got all cocky and said...WELL WE FIXED IT, DIDNT WE...To which I said...yes, but not until making me feel bad about it.. and without causing more damage...He got into this whole rant about things like this happening every day..some parts are "one way parts" yada yada yada...And that they didnt know how to deal with the door issue..To which I replied...That's not my problem..Reminded him that I told him at the start NOT TO TAKE THE JOB if he wasnt up to it..Bottom line, the car had NO DAMAGE in that area when I brought it in..and it has it now!
Wants me to bring the car back again...(almost afraid to)...Thinks he will have to replace the whole switch area to fix the damage to the plastic...
Also, found that the paint job under the door handle was not smooth...Almost like no clear coat on it...He said this probably ocurred during the repaint and admitted that they overlooked it!!
Again..he was rude and condascending..but, I could give a flying F%^$...
they must think they can bully you and you'll give up. i'm glad you're not letting them get away with it.
Then again, it does not seem like they can do the job right so...?
Funny thing is how he can admit they overlooked the fact the paint job was not done properly and still say you are being too picky.
Guy does not have a leg, or possibly will not have a leg(when we are done with him) to stand on :-)
I feel like screaming "what the F#$% is wrong with you" ...Have you ever hear of the customer is always right!! Or better yet...Can't you admit YOU F&%&$*d up!!!!
