OT: Way OT, Any Financial Planners out there?
I am just wondering if we have any current or previous financial planners among the group. I am interviewing with AMEX-Financial for a position and wondered if someone had any insight as to:
1: What I should expect to ask for $$$ salary wise?
2: The reputation of AMEX finanacial.
3: Any advice about the day to day business.

I don't know what they're paying rookie planners/advisors though. Don't know much about AMEX either. Expect to work very, very hard to establish your clients. I see too many new advisors think that all you have to do is show up, slap on some wingtips, read the Journal, and the dollars will come rolling in. Doesn't work that way.
