Default Chalk one up for the good guys. The insurance company for the woman who hit me admitted liability.

They of course tried to lowball me and her adjuster tried an old tactic on me leaving a message with their estimate, that was half of what it's going to cost to fix, then telling me that she was going on vacation the next day.

My insurance adjuster told me that's an old trick to get people to accept their offer quickly, to say they are going on vacation when they really aren't. Anyway, I'm letting my company deal with them and go after them for ALL the money to fix my car.

Just a heads up to watch out for that trick. I didn't fall for it, but some people may rush to accept the deal for fear of things being delayed further. The adjuster's supervisor can always take care of it, and it's best to have your insurance company deal with them. That's what I did as soon as she left the message. I called my insurance adjuster to let him deal with it.

Now, I want updates on others who have had accidents. Like the old lady door ding, the truck that backed into the TT with a license plate that had an MIA address, KimTT's revisions on her repairs and anyone else!

Whatever happened with the "old lady door ding"? Didn't Joel go after them? Did he win?

Default Same tack I used...

When farmboy decided to test his Ford Ranger -> G20 interface at 60 m.p.h.

At any rate, let your insurance company duke it out - it's what you pay them for! Good luck.

Default Update #1 as requested; adjuster called today, everything approved, work starts at Barsotti's.....

next Tuesday. They assure me that all the parts are available.

No progress on the driver. I refuse to spend any more time, energy and effort on pursuing him; it's just a waste of time. Really annoying.

Default Annie - See if that insurance company will PAY YOU directly instead of paying through your insurance

company..This way you dont get the blemish on your record...and you dont have to lay out your deductible until your insurer gets it back from hers....
