OT: Anybody have a Sony Vaio Picturebook?
it with Linux and Windoze. Is the screen really
big enough for moderate use? The attraction, of
course, is an incredibly small package for travel.
It certainly won't replace my daily machine or
full-sized laptop. Any other recurring problems
with these guys?
Thanks

They sell a hi-density pack good for 4 hours. Now with the Crusoe chip, this is handled. Otherwise the thing is great, screen tiny yet readable, camera very handy, light and thin, reliable. My wife uses it. In fact we're gonna dock it up, and she wants to run her desktop from it. Should be fine for her email, web, and office stuff. Yeh, go for it.

I have a libretto as well (from ebay) that runs vagcom software and get be carried in my trunk w/o much fear of damage.
gadget girl...
Display was good. Can't say much about battery life, because it was rarely used while unplugged from the wall.
Don't leave it around toddlers though...
