I started thinking this morning about organizing a TT day trip to Harper's Ferry in September.
I thought I would check with the MD/DC/VA group to see if there is any interest. Something like this would work better for me if we just made a day of it vs. an over-nighter. I figured the day would involve meeting in the morning at a central location (perhaps down around Bethesda or Rockville), driving out there together, have lunch, perhaps do a hike or some sight-seeing, have dinner, and then return back to the metro area as a group in the evening.
Harpers Ferry is a historic area right at the confluence of the Shenendoa and Potomac rivers. I've never personally been there but it supposed to be quite beautiful and very interesting. I would plan on making a recon run out there before the trip to plan the drives as well as the lunch and dinner.
