Service today: All I gotta say is this go out and get some Redline MT-90 straight

away.... its much smoother than the stock synthetic GL-4. Car accelerates fractionally faster and is quite smoother as well.... Its 105F up here today and I am quite impressed. As a note dont use Redline MTL its the wrong viscosity, also use a separate Redline 75w90 which is GL-5 if you get the final drive done as well.... Oh yeah during visit found several broken modules and whatnot... Ordered parts for broken front window sensor.. (the usual complaint) and new module for broken gas tank button...gettin sick of poppin it from trunk and a new module for broken trunk button in interior as well.... Service was pretty good all in all though...

What's the miles in-between- changes for that oil

and how does this compare to Mobil-1?

I think the factory service guidline on oem gear oil is around

100000kms up here... I swapped it out at 10 000kms, I ussually change my tranny oil every 25000kms... as to how it compares to Mobil 1? whos to say dont think the oem oil is Mobil 1 either. I know Mobil products are popular but for other than industrial lubricants in my factory I dont use them in my cars.... I think Redline has a slight edge... plus does not contain sulphur compounds found in other synthetics which breakdown syncors over time... If you want good info on Redline check out how many professional race teams use it.... especially popular in quattro trannys used in rally racin..... their oil in race weight is used by many domestic and foreign race teams form bikes trucks and cars.... try it out... because in spite of what some mechanics think lubricants do make a difference..... otherwise its just steel on steel.... and nobody wants that......
