When getting a nail in the tire, is it better to patch from the inside
of the tire or get a plug on the outside? Also does the speed rating of tire get affected? Another words if the speed rating is 155mph. and then there is a repair on tire, is the speed rating still 155mph. or 0 mph.

Any time you repair a speed rated tire, that rating is compromised by a patch - no matter the
technique used. If you plan on driving over 120 (as I do too often), you will need a new tire to gaurantee your safety. If you drive "normally", you will be fine.

Don't plug, patch. The 'squirm' factor is gonna affect the drivability...
Depending where the patch is, the 'squirm' of the tire can/will degrade the patch.
I've had this happen with a different car, but it's possible also with your conditions.
The plug will squirm also, and give you a better chance of loosing air, IMHO.
The plug is *easier and cheaper*, no question, but a good repair guy will put on a good patch.
