Default Look what got installed today.....

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/1810/dcp_0592.jpg">

I don't know why I waited so long for the upgrade.... very much worth the $$$ for increased smoothness and performance it delivers.... For those that have been sitting on the fence... DO IT!!! you will NOT regret it!!

The install was easy enough, but I would recommend two people when it comes to dropping the old exhaust - difficult to unbolt and support the exhaust by yourself. I did have a small problem in that Stratmosphere sent the wrong sized adapter and clamp (was for 180, not 225), but fortunately I had an extra adapter. I had to use one of the first generation clamps... major POS... I did manage to break one clamping it down to close a slight exhaust leak. Will call Stratmosphere on Monday to get some of the second gen clamps that work much better. Even with all the futzing around with the clamps, the install only took a little over an hour and a half.

Thanks go to Evan for prompting me to finally get the exhaust and for starting off the polish job on the resonator section...

Default Thanks. It is a fine piece of work. Hard to describe I know, but do you prefer the sound?

I have seen pretty much all the TT stuff on Stat's site. A lot of it is on my wish list ;-)

OcTTober has some audio files on his website. It's a deeper, throatier sound. Not SUPER loud.

Default When I go to the office on Monday (;-P) I'll use the high speed connection to take a listen. Must

remember to take my headphones with me since computer speakers are not great and I'm sure I'll get a lot of strange looks from people as I listen to car sounds at my desk on my first day! Shouldn't take them too long to get more TT from me than they'd like =;-p

Default It has a little more low frequency growl to it than the OEM.... not ricy at all....

I did it more for the performance effects than the sound.... I prefer to go the sleeper route... it would have been nicer if the exhaust had the same flow caracteristics but have the same non-descript OEM sound.... Evan has the non-res version on his... I listened to both versions (res and non-res) in comparison to my stock OEM at the time... I found the both had a pleasant tone, but the non-res was a little too loud for my "sleeper" philosophy....

Default Totally on the same page. I want mine to look stock and ride, well, a little better!

I'm a little out of the loop on pipes so do you have a simple way of explaining the differences between 'res' and 'non-res'?
Thanks.

Michael tried both, and we both liked the non-resonated. The resonated is a bit quieter.
