Lost my boost today (more)
After washing my car today I was driving home and noticed that I had no boost at all. I can tell when the boost kicks and turbo spools up. It never happened. I drove home and turned the car off for about 30 seconds, then back on and it was back to normal. Check engine light never came on or anything. I then drove 100 miles up to PA and back and it was fine the whole way. Anyone know what could cause this? Talking with OcTTober, he said sometimes the ECU goes into 'Safe Mode' and that could have been the case, but still didn't get check engine light. I have the stock ECU, no chip...yet! Thanks.

'Safe mode' and the EPC lights up on the instrument panel...check any hoses associated with..
the turbo plumbing including the DV connections. The 'no engine' light suggests there is no major faults occurring within the vacuum hoses etc. VAG it and check for fault codes....

check memory for sporadic codes (ECM).....
a lot of time a "sporadic" code won't cause a check engine light. if you code starts with 17... (it's allways a 5 digit code!), check the dv valve.<ul><li><a href="http://www.theracestore.com">TheRaceStore</a></li></ul>
