Rental from hell: Pontiac Sunbird, Brilliant White. Brakes are terrifying. To add insult to

injury, as I was heading to work in the death box through the back country twisties of Ridgefield, CT, I was being followed by a beautiful amulet roadster.....pulled over to let him go by....NO, I didn't wave.....cringe.

Isn't funny how DEFLATING it is to be seen in something less than our TT's!!!

Every time someone pulled up next to me in my rental, I wanted to scream "MY REAL CAR IS AN AUDI TTR"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Hey Den, as long as its a rental - try the Jason Dale flaming rotor trick where...

you drive around with the parking brake on at night to do this!

LOL, this car feels like it has wooden blocks for brake pads....might be an early demise for me !!

My sympathies, Denny...

I had to drive one of those rolling testaments design by beancounter for a month while my G20 was getting a new rear end.

I'm not sure what was more frightening: the brake rotor warpage that threatened to wrench the wheel from my hands on Pacheco pass or the engine that had 2.2 liters of displacement and STILL couldn't get out of it's own way.

Hope your TT is reapired quickly and well.
