Getting a '01 225 quattro TT
Hello all. First post, and soon to be TT owner. I have two quick questions that I hope someone may be able to answer for me.
1. Has anyone done business with the Orland Park, IL Audi dealership? How about the Schaumburg, IL dealership?
2. I have been quoted $38,147 for a '01 225 quattro with the luxury package and the Bose 8 speaker stereo. Is this a fair price? Is there a place to find out what others have been paying in the past couple of months?

Depends on where you go in the country...
Some dealers are still at MSRP.
Here in Denver, which was MSRP-only just a few months ago you can usually get a few $hundred off, especially on roadsters (Audi seems to ship roadsters in a ratio of 5:1 or so with coupes.)
In other areas of the country, you have always been able to get a $thousand or two off. Supply and demand, as always...

This is my first post too.
I just got one last week at McGrath Audi in Glenview. They are great and, more importantly, very straightforward.
I started by requesting quotes from Audi dealers within 100 miles of where I live (Chicago).
The cheapest quote came from Laurel in Westmont. They also had a great variety of colors. We negociated a bit more and agreed on a price but their finance manager was playing games: He was not willing to give me the Audi FS interest rates.
So I went to McGrath and the Exchange (Highland Park), the next two cheapest. I asked them what price and rate they would give me.
McGrath matched the Laurel price. I sent them a copy of my credit report (got it from myFICO.com) for them to assess whether I would qualify for the Audi rate (without them having to pull my report themselves right away). The salesman came back to me saying I'd qualify.
All this done entirely over the phone!
Anyway, the price is $36,934. I might have been able to get better but it was not worth my time. And the McGrath salesman made the process so efficient: I value this VERY highly (I have a lot of work right now).
The salesman's name is Bill Swanson. Very good guy.
btw, I'll be there tonight. Around 6:30.

I got a pre-owned Raven Black 225QC all options except nav and phone for $32,500. It had 11,500 miles. It was either a brand new 180 or the pre-owned 225.

The price you were quoted, $36,934, was that for the 180, or the 225? I'm looking into the 225, so if that is what you just got, that seems like a fantastic price! Let me know, so I can give them a jingle! 6:30PM, ehh? No, I won't be able to make it there at 6:30. I'll be at work until 9PM probably tonight. I have a big deadline on Monday. Thanks again for your help!
